November 21, 1967 Southern CA: Heavy rains; 14 inches of rainfall in the mountains, 7.96 inches in downtown LA. Severe local flooding with damaging mud slides. Said to be the worst since 1934.
November 21, 1985 Florida: Hurricane Kate made landfall at Mexico Beach. This is the latest know hurricane to hit the U.S. so far north.
