It's another day of heat and abundant sunshine across Western Pennsylvania --- and another day for residents susceptible to unhealthy air should be cautious outdoors.
The state Department of Environmental Protection again has issued an air quality alert for Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Washington and Westmoreland counties until midnight.
High pressure and light winds from the south with temperatures in the low 90s will allow pollution levels, especially ozone, to rise to serious levels. Residents should limit outdoor activities during the day.
