Ellis School names head of trustees

The Ellis School has named Timothy Parks, director of business development and marketing for the law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, as president of its trustees.

In a news release, Mr. Parks noted Ellis is the region's only independent school for girls age 3 through grade 12.

"The board is focused on sustaining and enhancing its mission of academic excellence and providing our graduates with the wisdom and courage to lead in local and global communities. Ellis has weathered the difficult economic environment of the past several years, and is poised for a future of tremendous opportunity," he said.

The five new members are Doreen E. Boyce, past president of the Buhl Foundation; Sylvia Hill Fields, executive director of the Eden Hall Foundation; Blythe Lyons, a senior consultant with Energy Resources International, Inc.; M. Robert "Bob" Mistick, owner and president of Mistick Construction Co.; and Margot Pyle, a retired investment executive.
