An autopsy today was inconclusive in determining the cause and manner of death of a Lower Burrell man found dead Tuesday along the Allegheny River banks in New Kensington.
The body has been identified as that of Gregory Veltri, 29, the Westmoreland County coroner said.
His body was found around 1:30 p.m., face down near the mouth of a stream that spills into the river near the Tarentum-New Kensington Bridge.
Police in New Kensington and county detectives are investigating the manner of death.
The coroner's office said tissue and fluid samples will be tested for the presence of drugs, alcohol and other substances.
