The Career Center at Westminster College is putting together a program for Nov. 20 featuring successful liberal arts alumni.

"We're looking at the many ways in which a liberal arts student can put his or her education to work," said Jackie Meade, director of the college's Career Center.

Here are some ways Westminster political science majors have put their educations to work:

• Sara Bresnahan Kennedy, Class of 2001, Western Pennsylvania victory manager for McCain 2008, and district director for state Rep. Mike Turzai, R-Bradford Woods.

• Jessica Rummel, Class of 2005, news assistant for CNN's Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer

• Zachary Warrender, Class of 2005, communications and policy associate for the Center for National Policy, a Washington, D.C. think tank.

• Kaylan Lehotsky, Class of 2006, Internet director for the White House,

• Russell Mills, Class of 2006, doctoral student in political science at Kent State University; formerly research assistant for Snelling Center for Government, University of Vermont.
