Brodhead Cultural Center

The musical "Into the Woods" will be presented by the Center Theater Company at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday in the Student Union Building auditorium on the Penn State Beaver campus in Center.

Tickets are $13 and are available by calling the Brodhead Cultural Center, 724-773-3610. If available, tickets will be sold at the door before each performance. Auditorium doors open at 6:45 both nights.

The performance is part of the Penn State Beaver Brodhead Cultural Center's 32nd summer season of programming.

The concert series continues with a free performance by the Monaca Cornet Band at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at J. P. Giusti Amphitheater, Brodhead Road, Center. The rain date is 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The Beaver Valley Area Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association will sell Penn State Creamery ice cream from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and during the show. Proceeds will benefit Beaver campus student scholarships funded by the alumni chapter.

Family fun night

The U.S. Air Force Band will perform a free concert at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow as part of the family fun night program sponsored by the Moon Parks & Recreation Department in Moon Park, Ewing Road.

Clinton Park concert

The country band Ruff Creek will perform at 7 p.m. Tuesday as part of the free summer concert series at the Clinton Park Amphitheatre, Route 30, Findlay. The concert is free.

Summer concert in the park

The band Dr. Zoot will perform at 7:30 p.m. today as part of the summer concert in the park program on the Crafton Park stage, Steuben Street.

Seating is limited, so concertgoers should bring their own chairs or blankets. The concert is free, but contributions will be accepted to benefit the Crafton Performing Arts Association.

Food and fun festival

Food, live entertainment and activities will be featured during the food and fun festival today through Saturday at St. Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 116 Ella St., McKees Rocks.

A parade from Robb Street to Ella Street will begin at 7 today followed by a memorial services for veterans, police officers and fire fighters at 8:15 and music from 8:45 to 10.

Johnny Angel and the Halos will perform from 8:30 to 11 p.m. tomorrow and the Sam Pugliano Polka Band will play from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday.

There will be food service starting at 4 p.m. each day.

Beaver County roadwork

There will be traffic restrictions this week during maintenance by state Department of Transportation crews on these Beaver County roads:

• Century Farm Road, Hanover -- Seal coat between Lincoln Highway and Frankfort Road.

• Fairlane Boulevard, Big Beaver -- Drainage work between Koppel and New Galilee.

• Frankfort Road, Potter and Raccoon -- Sweeping between Green Garden Road and Pleasant Drive.

• Green Garden Road, Raccoon -- Sweeping between Frankfort Road and Mill Street.

• Hoenig Road, Economy -- Drainage work between Mason and Conway Wallrose roads.

• Lisbon Road, Ohioville -- Mill paving notchess between Tuscarawras and Salem Church roads.

• Old Mill Creek Road, Hanover and Greene -- Seal coat between Lincoln Highway and Route 168.

• Pine Run Road, Marion -- Paving between Route 588 and Hartzell School Road.

• Pleasant Hills Road, Hanover -- Seal coat between Lincoln Highway and Hanover Kendall Road; patching between Hanover Kendall Road and Lincoln Highway.

• Route 30, Independence and Findlay -- Seal coat between Frankfort Road and the Allegheny County line.

• Route 60, Hopewell and Center -- Litter and debris removal between the Allegheny County line and the Vanport Bridge.

• Schoolhouse Road, Hanover and Independence -- Patching between Lincoln Highway and Frankfort Road.

Route 51 traffic shift

Single-lane traffic has been shifted in both directions to the right slow lane on Route 51, Constitution Boulevard, at the Bridgewater interchange in Beaver and Bridgewater.

Traffic will remain in this pattern through late August.

The $3.2 million project includes concrete patching and overlay on Route 51, a new ramp from Bridge Street to northbound Route 51, traffic signal upgrades, drainage repairs, guide rail, bridge deck repairs, and other improvements from the south end of the Beaver-Rochester Bridge to approximately 800 feet north of Bridge Street.
