PITTSBURGH, August 29, 2005 – The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is pleased to announce the hire of Tony Bernados to the position of Classified Advertising Manager. Bernados joins the newspaper from the Post-Gazette’s sister paper, The Blade in Toledo, Ohio where he was Classified Advertising Manager.
Prior to his position at The Blade, Bernados was new media and business manager at The Post and Courier in Charleston, South Carolina. There, he was responsible for developing all Internet advertising products, an effort that resulted in doubling the annual revenue goal in just five months. Acting Director of Advertising Terry Cascioli said, "We are very excited to have someone with Tony’s skill, expertise and enthusiasm in such an important position within the company."
Earlier this year, the Post-Gazette advertising department made two additional new hires. Michael Sexauer was hired as Database Marketing Manager and Steve Posti was hired as Research Manager. These positions are designed to further help advertisers meet their ever-changing needs by offering them database marketing solutions and competitive research information.
